Cardinia Tree Services takes enquiries for tree removal, lopping and pruning, stump grinding, storm clean-up and land clearing in Pakenham, Officer, Beaconsfield, Cardinia Lakes and Heritage Springs, and out to Nar Nar Goon, Tynong, Bunyip and Garfield. The site is run by Yes Right Pty Ltd (ABN 91 664 546 061).

How it works.

• You call or use the quote form and tell us your suburb, the tree and what you want done.
• The job goes to a local tree services business that can price it.
• That business quotes you directly and is responsible for its own qualifications, insurance and workmanship.
• We don't charge you for the enquiry. Businesses we refer work to may pay us a referral fee.

• Qualifications. There is no arborist licence in Victoria, so ask for the AQF arboriculture qualification, Working at Heights, the EWP licence and current chainsaw tickets. Near powerlines, only crews holding the specific line clearance qualification may work closer.
• Insurance. Ask for the certificate of currency for public liability and WorkCover, dated so it covers your job week.
• Council permit. Under the Cardinia Shire Tree Protection Local Law, a tree with a trunk circumference of 110cm or more at 1.4m needs a permit, and trees on the Significant Tree Register or inside a Vegetation Protection Overlay can need a planning permit. Confirm the permit number is on the job ticket before anyone cuts.
• Pruning standard. Pruning should follow AS 4373. Topping a healthy tree is not pruning.
• Written quote. It should name the tree, the work, the stump grind depth and what leaves the property. Keep it with the permit, the certificate of currency and the invoice.
